BELMONT — Lakes Region Girls Softball is a Babe Ruth Softball organization that offers a competitive softball program for Belmont, Canterbury and Laconia girls, ages 6-18.
Players can register in-person at Belmont Elementary School Saturday, January 25 and February 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. For new players, a copy of their birth certificate as well as proof of residency is required. Fees for the 2014 season are $35 for 8U, $50 for 10U/12U, $65 for 14U/16U/18U.
Again this year, LRGS will be hosting Winter Warm-Up clinics. These clinics allow players, regardless of ability level/age, to work on fundamental softball skills (fielding, throwing, batting, sliding, etc.). Clinics are free of charge for registered players, $10 fee for non-LRGS players ($10 fee will be applied to 2014 registration cost if player decides to register). The first clinic is Saturday, January 18 at Laconia Middle School from 6-8 p.m.
