LACONIA — Former State Senator Joe Kenney of Wakefield will bring his campaign for the GOP nomination for the District One Executive Council seat to My Coffee House at 92 Court Street at 10 a.m. today.
Kenney says that he is patterning his campaign on the way the late Ray Burton ran his many successful campaigns for Executive Council by engaging people and seeking their endorsement.
''Local owners deserve some publicity and we want to help local business owners by making our campaign itself attract business for them,'' says Kenney, who is beginning beginning a tour of coffee shops and mom and pop restaurants promoting the New Hampshire Brand with an interesting twist. The first person to post their photo with Joe will win a free pound of coffee. As Kenney travels around the district he will be promoting locally owned brands and restaurants.
His message is buy local support local and help the local economy. Also, Kenney will be meeting people hearing their issues and letting them know why he believes that the district needs an Executive Councilor who has already served in state government and knows how to resolve problems for his constituents because he knows how state government works.
Kenney says that as a 14 year legislator he is the only candidate with State House experience and has the contacts and experience to help constituents. Kenney is a 30 plus year Marine who served in Afghanistan and Iraq.
