LRCS Parenting Classes beginning at the end of January

LACONIA — The Family Resource Center of Central New Hampshire, 719 No. Main Street, Laconia is offering a wide variety of parenting programs this winter/spring for parents of children of all ages.

Classes, held in the early evenings, are offered free of charge, with dinner and childcare available on-site each evening for families in attendance. Advance registration is requested for each program as space is limited. Assistance with transportation is also available with advance notice and approval.

Four week parenting classes beginning in January include: Healthy Eating for Families with Children, offered for adults interested in being healthy role models and better educators for their children and covers reading food labels, dealing with picky eaters, exercise and food safety. Program begins on Monday, January 27. Tenant 101 program aimed to help support individuals to overcome negative landlord references and learn to be the best tenant they can be. Program begins on Tuesday, January 28. Cooperative Co-Parenting begins on Thursday, January 30. This program is for non-married, separated, or divorced parents and caregivers raising children together who share separate households, and covers positive communication, reducing and resolving conflict, and negotiating agreements. 

Pay Yourself First one time workshop will be held on Thursday, January 30. The workshop is aimed to help participants understand ways to save money toward large-expense goals. Workshop attendees will be entered to win a $25 gift card.
