FRANKLIN — Singer-songwriter Katie Rose, the rose of the North Country, will appear at Franklin Opera House on Friday, September 20 at 7:30 pm.
A native of Whitefield, Rose has appeared in venues across New Hampshire and Vermont and has been featured at the Eastern States Exposition, W. Springfield, Mass at the invitation of the NH Department of Agriculture. Her powerful voice and meaningful lyrics resonate with audiences, whether she is singing a love song, happy song or delivering a message with a powerful, socially conscious piece of music.
Prior to the performance at Franklin Opera House, Rose will present two workshops at the Paul Smith Elementary School, in Franklin, working with the children there to help them develop their musical sense. Any child attending the workshop will be given a free ticket to the evening performance, to be used in conjunction with a paid admission by an adult.
