LRCC Culinary Arts grad reopening Katie Flo's

TILTON — Katie Flo's Café recently reopened and is being run by Peter Kaigle of Laconia, a 2012 graduate of  Lakes Region Community College's culinary arts program.

"I am so happy to have Katie Flo's opened," says Kaigle, "It is a dream come true."

Just last week LRCC Culinary Arts graduate, David Perry of Center Ossipee opened Jilly's Bistro on Union Avenue in Laconia.

"It is exciting to have two of LRCC's Culinary Arts graduates open their own Lakes Region restaurants in the same month," says LRCC Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, and Restaurant Management Department Coordinator, Pat Hall, a successful entrepreneur himself before entering the teaching profession. "This is a first!"

For information about LRCC's hospitality programs, now housed at Canterbury Shaker Village, contact the Admissions office at ext. 6766. New fall day, evening, and online classes start Tuesday, September 3. Registrations will be accepted through the first week of classes.
