NEW HAMPTON — The Belknap County Master Gardeners invites the public to view a demonstration garden they have established and maintained this season at the Huckins Farm in New Hampton. This viewing will take place on Tuesday, August 13 at 5 p.m. at 52 Magoon Road in New Hampton.
The garden highlights new and interesting vegetable varieties available to home gardeners including heirloom varieties and a three sisters garden. Volunteers will be on hand to discuss garden site preparation, variety selection, and the performance of the vegetable varieties they grew this year, as well as answer gardening questions. Visitors may also tour the Huckins Farm dairy, yogurt and cheese sales area.
Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension staff. UNH Cooperative Extension provides New Hampshire citizens with research-based education and information, enhancing their ability to make informed decisions that strengthen youth, families and communities, sustain natural resources, and improve the economy.
