Importance of copyrights shared with LRCC Graphic Design Students (123)

LACONIA — Graphic design student, Angelica Platon was joined by Michael Persson, left, Registered Patent Attorney, Persson & Weldon-Francke, P.C., during her Intro to Graphic Design class on Prescott Hill.
Attorney Persson did an overview of intellectual property and discussed how it relates to the graphic design industry.
"From copyrights to trademarks, patents to trade secrets, Attorney Persson explained the differences and importance of each and what is required to achieve them," says Gail Beane, LRCC Graphic Design Professor.
"He also discussed how to obtain a copyright, why you should trademark your work and how to go about getting a patent. It was a great presentation, giving insight to the graphic design students as they go forward with their schooling and careers," said Beane.
