Published DatePLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Area Chess Club has had an astonishing growth pattern and is now comparable to many large cities in NH.
Players come from Plymouth and surrounding towns to compete and have fun on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. at the Pease Public Library in Plymouth. The club is currently looking for team matches with other cities and towns and can field a team of 10 or more.
Chess at an early age has been proven to improve math and science scores among school age kids. It is part of a required curriculum in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania and many European and Asian countries. Everyone is welcome to attend the club at no charge and free lessons are available.
