Annie Forts UP Fund Annual Meeting Set for March 21

MOULTONBOROUGH — The Annie Forts "UP" Fund Board of Directors is pleased to announce and invite all friends and neighbors to the 16th Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 21 at Magic Foods Catering
in Moultonborough. This event begins at 6 p.m. with a social hour, cash bar, and includes a Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle, and a buffet dinner catered by Magic Foods.
The "UP" Fund began in 1997 as part of a community wide celebration to honor Annie Forts and help to realize her dream of beginning a fund to assist and encourage individuals with Down Syndrome.
The Moultonborough Lions Club rallied behind Annie during this celebration and raised almost $50,000. Annie was then invited by the Lions Club to be a guest speaker at a dinner meeting, the rest is history as she was invited to become a member and has been active ever since.
The Annie Forts "UP" Fund is an IRS approved nonprofit 501 (c) (3) and to date has awarded almost $140,000 in grants and scholarships while using only the interest from the fund for awards. These scholarships include funding for individuals with Down Syndrome to participate with therapeutic riding, camperships, wellness center, attendance for families in the UNH Leadership Series, and for students whose focus is special education. This fund continues to grow today with many supporters and friends of Annie who believe in her mission.
