Lakes Region Vineyard Church Taking part $1 Million Giveaway to fight hunger

LACONIA — The Lakes Region Vineyard Church is joining the nearly 2,000 churches, food pantries, ministries and other agencies to compete for its portion of the Annual Feinstein $1 Million Giveaway to Fight Hunger.
From March 1 through April 30 donations the church receives in the form of cash, checks and food items (valued at $1.00 per item or pound) or pledges, as long as they were obtained only from use of the Feinstein challenge, will count towards the final allocation received by the local church.
''We have been participating in this event for several years now and the response has continued to rise each year as more and more schools, restaurants, businesses and clubs get involved. We hope to continue that trend this year as we are seeing an increase in the needs of those hardest hit by the difficult times in which we live,'' says David Lavoie of the Lakes Region Vineyard Church.
Our million dollars will be divided proportionately among all participating agencies complying with the reporting requirements, with a maximum of $35,000 to participating agencies. Checks will be mailed by early August.
