Garden Club sponsoring trip to Rhode Island Flower Show

ASHLAND — The Ashland Garden Club is sponsoring a coach bus trip to the Rhode Island Spring Flower & Garden Show Sat. Feb 23.The many horticulturist, landscapers, and hardscape professionals plan for a year to coax the right bloom time for different plants to overwhelm attendees.
Many garden exhibits are competitive and are judged by professional horticulture judges. The RI Federation of Garden Clubs present a Standard Flower Show titled "Hot off the Press" reflecting how newspapers have been used to note special events over time.
The art medium is flowers & plant material used to interpret the different titles and classes according to National Garden Clubs, Inc.
Show highlights are gardening and cooking demonstrations, lectures from Horticultural experts, garden marketplace, and expanded garden display areas.
The bus leaves at 7 a.m. from Hatch Plaza, Plymouth with pick up at Park & Rides in different locations on Rte. 93. It will return by 6 p.m.
