Harlem Wizards Coming to Town Wednesday night at LHS

LACONIA — The Harlem Wizards will be coming to Laconia High School on Wednesday, January 23 at 7 p.m. in a fundraiser sponsored by The American Legion Post 1. All of the proceeds will go toward the scholarships the American Legion in Laconia hands out each year to local high school seniors pursuing higher education.The challenging team will consist of local, hardworking volunteers throughout the community and people will see coaches from the community sports programs, teachers, doctors, police officers and many others playing against the Harlem Wizards. The game will be refereed by one of the finest and most patient officials in the area, Jeff Greeley.
Players from the Harlem Wizards will be making a guest appearance at all of the Laconia Elementary Schools and the Laconia Middle School.
The fundraiser would not be possible without the support of local businesses that helped buy and sell tickets for this event including Aavid Engineering, Morin Electric LLC, All My Life Jewelers, Patrick's Pub and Eatery, Lou Athanas Youth Basketball League, and the Laconia High School JAG program.
Tickets will be sold at the door the night of the event for $10 students and $12 adults.
