New Hampshire Fiddle Ensemble to Perform at Franklin Opera House

FRANKLIN — After months of rehearsing in several locations throughout the state, the N.H. Fiddle Ensemble is now coming together on Sunday afternoons at the Franklin Opera House in preparation for their annual concert to be held there on Sunday, April 15 at 2 p.m.

FRANKLIN — After months of rehearsing in several locations throughout the state, the N.H. Fiddle Ensemble is now coming together on Sunday afternoons at the Franklin Opera House in preparation for their annual concert to be held there on Sunday, April 15 at 2 p.m.

The NH Fiddle Ensemble provides a place for musicians to learn all of the basics of performing and musicianship, both in the traditional manner (learning by ear) and using sheet music. The graduated parts allow musicians of various ability levels to play together in harmony.

The ensemble plays fiddle music in various traditions (Irish, old-time, Klezmer, Cajun, swing) plus singing and dancing from musicians from ages 7 to 80. The ensemble also includes guitars, and other stringed instruments.
