Laconia Elders Friendship Club meeting, 1:30 p.m., Leavitt Park Clubhouse. People 55 and older meet each Wednesday for fun, entertainment and education. Meetings provide an opportunity for older citizens to to meet for pure social enjoyment and the club helps the community with philanthropic work.

Rabies clinic and dog licensing event at Franklin Fire Department. 2 to 4 p.m. All dogs must be on leash and all cats must be in carriers. All fees must be paid in cash. Rabies vaccines cost $12 per dog or cat. Dog licensing fees are $9, $6.50 for a neutered or spayed dog, or $2 for a dog whose owner is over 65 years of age. Those seeking a license must have a photo ID showing proof of Franklin residency. Proof of prior rabies vaccination will be required for a 3 year immunization.
