Open House hosted by Owl Brook Hunter Education Center in Holderness. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Open house features a chance to shoot new guns, use simulators, practice archery skills, and more. Youth are welcome to attend.

The American Legion is sponsoring a Meat Bingo event held to raise money so that an old marine can be sent back to Iwo Jima to pay tribute to the many brothers in arms he left in the Far East during World War II. 3 p.m. at the Post at 6 Plymouth Street in Meredith.

First Artist Appreciation Day sponsored by U Frame We Frame, Lively Design Framing and Frates Creative Arts Supply Shoppe. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Belknap Mill in Laconia.

The Studio at Meredith Bay presents its 2014 dance recital 'Applause'. 6:30 p.m. at the Inter-Lakes High School Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 279-1401.

8th annual Peter Makris Memorial Run held to kick off the 91st Laconia Motorcycle Week. Registration, breakfast and line-up starts at the NAZBar & Grill. The police escorted ride around the lake begins at 11 a.m. Proceeds from this event benefit the Laconia Fire Department and the Easter Seals NH "Veterans Count" program.

Al-Anon Meeting at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia. 8 to 9:15 p.m. each Saturday in the first-floor conference room  Al-Anon offers hope and help to families of alcoholics. No dues or fees. All are welcome. Call 645-9518.
All compulsive eaters are welcome to attend the Overeaters Anonymous meeting held each Saturday morning from 11 to 12 at the Franklin Hospital.
