Book presentation and signing at the Laconia Public Library by Marina Dutzmann Kirsch, author of "Flight of Remembrance: A WWII Memoir of Love and Survival". 6:30 p.m. in Rotary Hall. A window in to the experiences of a Latvian man and a German woman on "the other side" of World War II. Free admission.

Belknap Mill Society hosts the official launch of the book "A History of the Belknap Mill: The Pride of Laconia’s Industrial Heritage," by Carol Lee Anderson, 6 p.m., Belknap Mill, 25 Beacon Street East in Laconia. Free.

Laconia Elders Friendship Club meeting. 1:30 p.m. at the Leavitt Park Clubhouse. People 55 and older meet each Wednesday for fun, entertainment and education. Meetings provide an opportunity for older citizens to to meet for pure social enjoyment and the club helps the community with philanthropic work.
