2014 football, cheer and flag football sign ups hosted by the Laconia Youth Football and Cheer Association held at the Laconia Community Center from 9 a.m. to noon. Sign ups also available online by going to www.laconiachiefs.com.

Animal education event held as a fundraiser for the Pub Mania team Bag O'Loot to raise money for the Children's Auction. Showtime is 1 p.m. at Leavitt Park on Elm Street in Laconia. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. $1 discount applied to admission with donation of one or ore non-perishable food item for the local pantry. Al-Anon Meeting at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia. 8 to 9:15 p.m. each Saturday in the first-floor conference room  Al-Anon offers hope and help to families of alcoholics. No dues or fees. All are welcome. Call 645-9518.
All compulsive eaters are welcome to attend the Overeaters Anonymous meeting held each Saturday morning from 11 to 12 at the Franklin Hospital.

League of NH Craftsmen - Meredith Fine Craft Gallery hosts a bezel silver jewelry class with Joy Raskin. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Meredith Fine Craft Gallery located at 279 Daniel Webster Highway in Meredith. Tuition is $70 per student, with an additional $25-$50 materials fee to be paid to the instructor the day of the class. Pre-registration required by calling 279-7920.

Annual Kirkwood Gardens Day featuring a plant sale held at the Kirkwood Gardens at Squam Lakes Natural Science Center in Holderness. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Kirkwood Gardens. For more information call 968-7194.
