Memorial Day program hosted by the Groton Historical Society held at the Groton Town House beginning at 11 a.m. Refreshments served at the close of the service.

Memorial Day parade and services hosted by the Wilkins-Smith American Legion Post #1. 10 a.m. at Wyatt Park in the South End of Laconia. For more information call 455-2026.

Memorial Day observance schedule announced by the American Legion Post 33 of Meredith. Service at Meredith Center Cemetery lead by Rev. Robert Lemieux begins at 8 a.m. Service held at Meredith Village Ceremony by Rev. Dennis Audet will begin at 9 a.m. Parade begins at 9:50 a.m. leaving from the Post 33 parking lot. Participants in the parade are asked to arrive at 9:30 a.m. Ceremony in front of the library will begin at 10 a.m. Prayers will be offered at Hesky Park at 10:30 a.m. Bob Jones gives the main address at the POW-MIA Memorial at 10:45 a.m. Reception afterward held at 11 a.m. at the Legion Post.

The Town of Gilford observes the Memorial Day Holiday with a parade leaving from the Community Church at 9:30 a.m. Parade participants are asked to arrive at 9:15 a.m. Observances will be held at the World War I & II Memorial and then at Pine Grove Cemetery. Disabled veterans requiring rides are encouraged to contact Sandy Bailey at 527-4790 to make their need known.

Memorial Day parade and ceremony in Belmont hosted by American Legion Post #58. Parade steps off at 1 p.m. at the Middle School, then will follow Main Street to the Veterans Memorial in front of St. Joseph's Church.

Memorial Day parade and ceremony in Bristol. Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. and will march from the East Parking Lot at Freudenberg to the Homeland Cemetery, where a ceremony will be held.

Memorial Weekend Craft Festival at Mill Falls Marketplace in Meredith. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rain or shine, free admission.

 

Narcotics Anonymous meeting. 7 to 8:30 p.m. at 35 Tower Street in Weirs Beach.
Overeaters Anonymous offers a program of recovery from compulsive eating using the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of OA. The program is held Monday nights at 7 p.m. at the Laconia Congregational Church Parish Hall, 18 Veterans Square, (for mapquest use 69 Pleasant St.), Laconia, NH 03246. Use back entrance. Barbershop chorus meets every Monday at Gilford Community Church, lower level. 7:15 p.m. For more information, call Harvey Beetle at 528-3073.
Chess Club at the Hall Memorial Library. 4-7 p.m.
Free one on one internet and computer instruction every Monday at 10 a.m. at the Tilton Senior Center, 11 Grange Road, Tilton.  
Adult Pick-up Basketball offered by Meredith Parks & Recreation Department held at the Meredith Community Center Monday nights from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. $1 per person - sign in and out at the front desk.
Bingo at the VFW Post 1670 located at 143 Court Street in Laconia. Doors open at 4 p.m. Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m.

 

NAMI-NH Family Support Group.
