LACONIA — Laconia Little League will hold its first Winter Work-Out for the 2017 season today from 4 to 6 p.m. at Laconia Middle School. There will also be an opportunity for youngsters to register for the coming season's play. There is no charge to attend the work-out. SANBORNTON — Jean Eleanor (Stone) Surowiec, 84, a longtime resident of Sanbornton, died, Jan. 22, 2017, in the comfort of her home with family at her side following a brief illness. Jean was born in Franklin on Oct. 5, 1932, daughter of the late Milton and Eleanor (Kelley) Stone.
