BELMONT — Richard J. Casarano, 67, of Belmont, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018.
He was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, son of the late Joseph and Nella (Masci) Casarano. He was a graduate of Somerville High School class of 1968 and attended Northeastern University.
Richard was a skilled licensed electrician working for AH Shepherd Associates DBA Cable Splicing & Testing of Reading, Massachusetts, and Transformer Service Incorporated in Concord, where he met his wife, Jamie.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jamie (Odey) Casarano of Belmont; his son, Dave Casarano and his fiancée Valerie Zullo of Simsbury, Connecticut; granddaughters, Victoria and Scarlett Casarano of Simsbury, Connecticut; his brother, Joseph Casarano and his wife Barbara of Reading, Massachusetts; sister-in-law, Susan Perkins and her husband Lawrence of Loudon; aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and his neighbors whom he considered family: the Bickford and Loring families.
Visiting hours will not be held.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Jan. 19, at 9 a.m. at the Parish of Saint Andre Bessette, Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave., Laconia.
Burial will follow in Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Central NH VNA & Hospice, 780 N. Main St., Laconia, NH 03246.
