GILFORD — Ebtehag "Amal" Maximos-Ebeid, 86, passed away on Jan. 6, 2018, at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.
Amal was born in Egypt on Sept. 22, 1931. She was the widow of Dr. Raouf Ebeid, criminology professor and vice dean of the Law School of Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt.
She is survived by her daughter, Nemat "Ninette" Ebeid-Ishak, Ph.D., the wife of Noshi Ishak, MD, of Central NH Kidney Center, and the mother of Raafat "Tony" Ishak and Samy "Steven" Ishak. Amal is also survived by her son Makram Ebeid, MD, professor in the Medical School of the University of Mississippi. He is the husband of Mary Ann Kosek-Ebeid, MD, who is also a professor in the Medical School of the University of Mississippi, and the father of Mariam Ebeid. Amal is also survived by her son, Sadek Ebeid, MD, of Phoenix.
Private funeral was held by the family at St Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Charlton, Massachusetts. Burial was held at the family's cemetery in Worcester, Massachusetts, on Jan. 9.
