MEREDITH — Marguerite (Peg) Vittum (Prescott), formerly of Meredith, died peacefully in Mountain View Nursing Home on Dec. 12, 2017, at the age of 91.
Marguerite was born on July 3, 1926, in Meredith, to Roy E. and Louva M. (Berry) Prescott. She was the graduate of Meredith High School and the New Hampshire College of Accounting and Finance in Manchester. She married Edwin Vittum in April 1945. She was a lifelong resident of Meredith and a parishioner of the Congregational Church of Meredith.
Marguerite is survived by two sons, Alan (Donna) of Wolfeboro and Scott (Jean) of Moultonboro; four grandchildren, Alexander (Zeina) of Oakland, California; Neil (Amy) of Laytonville, California; Quinn (Kara) of Honolulu, Hawaii; and Heidi (Joseph) Laramie; and two great-grandchildren, Emmett Rouse Vittum and Juniper Rouse Vittum.
A calling hour will be held at the Mayhew Funeral Home, 204 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith, on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 10-11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Ryan Alexander will officiate the ceremony. Burial will be held in the Meredith Village Cemetery, Meredith. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marguerite’s life.
