LACONIA — Irene R. Chandronnait 87, of Laconia, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Lakes Region General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Irene was born July 7, 1930, in Laconia, daughter to the late Joseph P. and Bertha (Perkins) Boissonnault.
Irene attended school in Laconia then lovingly raised her six children before working at Lakes Region General Hospital as a dietary aid for 25 years until retiring.
Irene enjoyed shopping, reading, the ocean, the mountains, traveling and having "club" with the girls. She loved cats, and above all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Irene is survived by her two sons, Robert Morel and his wife, Judy of Charlestown, and Steven Morel and his wife, Connie of Dayton, Ohio; 12 grandchildren: Tracy Mangione, Jodi Marceau, Jason Bowles, Rebecca Bailey, Dale Morel, Zachary Morel, Jacob Morel, Andrew Cardinal, Jeremy Cardinal, Buddy Morel, Barry Morel, and Billy Morel; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Norma Danforth and her husband George of Laconia; and special nieces Jan Winchester and Joann Tuttle. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a son, Roger Morel, three daughters, Susan Bowles, Diane Cardinal and Deborah Morel; two brothers, Bud and Donald Boissonnault and two sisters, Helen Smith and Pearl Constant.
There will be no calling hours.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Whipple Avenue entrance.
Burial will be private.
