GILMANTON — Charles “Chuck” A. Lempke, 48, of Sapwood Avenue, died after a long illness, which he fought valiantly, on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Chuck was born Dec. 20, 1968, in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
He worked for many years as a machinist for Bow Interconnect.
Chuck enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, fishing, woodworking and working on cars. Above all, he adored spending time with his loving family and friends.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Shannon (Vachon) Lempke, of Gilmanton; his daughter, Emily Lempke of Laconia; his son Joseph Lempke of Gilmanton; a grandson, Jesse Charles Burnham, also of Laconia; his mother, Barbara (Kacziak) Kenney of Newport, Rhode Island; a brother, Richard Lempke and his wife, Darlene of Granby, Massachusetts; a sister, Donna (Lempke) Lemire of Newport, Rhode Island; and a niece, Erika Lempke also of Granby, Massachusetts.
He was predeceased by his beloved German shepherd, Molly.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Aug. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 18, at 1 p.m. at St. Andre Bessette Parish-St. Joseph Church, 30 Church St., Laconia. Burial will follow in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.
