David E. Macdonald, 77
GILFORD — David E Macdonald, of Bedford, Massachusetts, for many years, died peacefully Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at his home in Gilford, at the age of 77.
Born in Melrose, Massachusetts, in 1939, he was the son of Earl and Ernestine Macdonald of Lynnfield, Massachusetts.
He attended Melrose High and Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine, and resided in Bedford most of his life with his family where he ran his business, Scotsman Contracting. He retired several years ago, up in the mountains in Gilford.
He is survived by his partner, Donna Lawler; his children, Jeff Macdonald and Sandy Herman, their mother Linda Macdonald; five grandchildren; his sister, Miriam Brown; two nephews, Marc and Scott Brown; and niece, Jennifer Griffin.
Private graveside services for friends and family will be held May 4 at 11 a.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery, Lynnfield, Massachusetts.
