CROMWELL, Conn. — The New England wolves EHL Elite U19 team traveled to Cromwell to take part in the EHL Showcase series the weekend of Dec. 17-18 and swept both games against the top Southern Conference opponents. The two victories continued the Wolves' December win streak.
First up on Saturday was the Philadelphia Junior Flyers, sporting a 18-5 win/loss record. Both teams battled back and forth, with the Wolves pulling ahead late for the 3-2 victory. The game featured three different scorers and netminder Josh George (Chandler, Arizona) was stellar in nets with 37 saves.
The Wolves followed that performance with another outstanding effort against league leader Philadelphia Revolution (21-2 record). The Wolves Elites were paced by the line of Max Levasseur, Quinn Fahey, and Carl Bear, who contributed 5 goals. Noah Stock (Philadelphia) was solid in goal against his hometown team.
The Wolves program takes a two-week hiatus for the holidays before resuming practice and training on Jan. 2. For details on the program go to www.americanhockeyinstitute.com.
