Remembering 9/11

The Greater Laconia Ministerial Association would like to encourage all area churches, synagogues, temples and meeting houses to open their doors on Thursday, September 11, 2003 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This would enable those who would like to spend time in reflection and prayer for all the families who have been affected by the tragedies in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. on September 11, 2001.


Ozanam Place receives grant from Radio Shack

Ozanam Place, a Laconia transitional housing and supportive service program for single parents in the Lakes Region who are at-risk of homelessness, announced that it had received a $250 grant from Radio Shack Corporation. Homebrewer's Jamboree being hosted in W. Campton

Homebrewer's Jamboree, a celebration of handcrafted beverages, will be held at the Branch Brook Campground in W. Campton beginning at 10 a.m., with overnight camping available. Entrance fee is $6 at the gate, where IDs will be required. Brewers can bring their own homebrewed beverage to enter in the competition for beer, wine, meads and ciders.
