Five Indiana Pacers players and five fans were charged Wednesday for fighting in the stands and on the court at the end of a game against the Detroit Pistons last month. Red Sox executives meet with Martinez

Pedro Martinez briefly met with Red Sox owner John Henry and president Larry Lucchino on Wednesday while passing through the international airport. The two executives talked with the free-agent pitcher for 45 minutes before attending the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Red Sox baseball academy on the island. 'American Bandstand' host Dick Clark has stroke

"American Bandstand" icon Dick Clark was hospitalized this week after suffering a mild stroke. Clark, who turned 75 on Nov. 30, suffered the stroke this week, publicist Paul Shefrin said Wednesday, declining to give any details. He would only say Clark had been hospitalized in the Los Angeles area. Grimard named LRGH volunteer of year

Having logged over 2,000 hours of volunteer service at Lakes Region General Hospital and at Franklin Regional Hospital since 1998, Norman D. Grimard of Laconia was honored yesterday as the hospital's Volunteer of the Year.
