Native American Supper offered Saturday

GILFORD — An evening of Native American food tastings and entertainment will take place Saturday, Nov. ​18, 5-7 p.m. at the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road in Gilford.

Food will include venison stew, moose,​ bear,​ buffalo chili, trout stuffed with crab, roasted turkey​ ​ and salmon stew. Some of the side dishes will be butternut squash, ​corn casserole, ​Three Sisters, corn bread, FryBread and Wojapi, and ​Ghost ​bread. For dessert there will be blueberry, pumpkin, cherry pies and bread pudding. Native baskets, jewelry, clubs and artifacts will be on display. Mountain Spirit Singers will be drumming​ with Native flute playing as well.

A live auction, ​raffles and all proceeds benefit the Native American Scholarship Fund. Tickets at the door: Children and elders $10, adults, $15, under six, free. This event is hosted by the New Hampshire Intertribal Native American Council.
