MEREDITH — Past guests of Golden View's post-hospital rehabilitation center, The Retreat, returned there recently, not for more therapy, but for food, music and catching up with old friends.
Golden View's rehab reunion gave former Retreat guests a chance to reconnect with friends from their stay, as well as with Golden View staff. Many hugs and laughs were shared as people showed off their stellar balance and mobility to their former physical and occupational therapists and nurses.
"It was great to see how well everyone was doing," said Karen Moriarty, The Retreat's Rehab program manager. "I loved seeing how well they've integrated back into the community doing the activities they enjoyed before."
The Retreat, which features private rooms with private bathrooms, provides the intensive therapy and skilled nursing services necessary to speed recovery to home after an illness or injury. Those interested in touring the Retreat, getting more information, or pre-arranging a rehab stay, may call Pat Keefer, the Director of Case Management, at 603-279-8111, ext. 4173. Golden View is located at 19 NH Route 104 in Meredith.
