MEREDITH — Greater Meredith Program, a non-profit committed to economic vitality, cultural and historic preservation and town-wide beautification, has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of December.
This exciting program has been designed to support local non-profits such as Greater Meredith Program. For every blue Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag with the good karma message purchased at the Meredith Hannaford, Greater Meredith Program will receive a $1 donation in order to help fulfill its mission for Meredith to be a year-round business service and recreational/social hub for residents, workforce and visitors. The Greater Meredith Program honors and preserves the town's heritage, creates a viable environment in which to live and work and makes the town more beautiful for all to enjoy.
"We are delighted that Hannaford has chosen the GMP for inclusion in this program" said Executive Director Liz Lapham. "We welcome all Meredith Hannaford Shoppers to purchase a bag in December, and the GMP thanks all those who do."
Greater Meredith Program plans to use funds from sales of these bags in town. Continuing town beautification projects and economic development programs such as the "Do The Loop" shopping and dining stroll on and near Meredith's Main Street are just two examples.
